The Australian Wool and Sheep Industry Taskforce
The Australian Wool and Sheep Industry Taskforce was established, to provide a united, coordinated voice for the industry to communicate with key stakeholder groups. The members of the Taskforce are:

The Taskforce has the support of the Australian Government and also has a secretariat which enables it to respond quickly to emerging issues.
Australia is proud to supply wool to the world and as you will see from the information this site provides, Australia is equally proud of its commitment to the welfare of the sheep involved in wool production.

For 25 years National Farmers' Federation has represented Australia's farmers in the federal political arena.
WoolProducers is the peak national representative body for Australian woolgrowers. WoolProducers represent over 15,000 wool producers from across Australia and aims to provide a strong, unified voice that enables wool producers to address issues that effect their business and drive change in their industry. The key purpose of WoolProducers is to deliver outcomes to our members that contribute to their wool business profit and social wellbeing.
The Sheepmeat Council of Australia is the peak national body representing the interests of sheepmeat producers.
Australian Wool Innovation initiates, commissions and delivers R&D to Australian woolgrowers.
Meat & Livestock Australia provides R&D, market information and marketing to benefit the red meat industry.
Federation of Australian Wool Organisations provides Australia's membership of the Australian National Committee of the International Wool Textile Organisation.
The Australian Live Exporters Council (ALEC) is the peak industry council representing livestock exporters.
